Hi! This is Christie Taylor, the author of this blog. I’m a creative person who loves to express myself in multiple mediums. My exploration consists of writing TV and video scripts, creating illustration with gouache, acrylic markers and creating artwork with digital programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
I’ve included “Daydream” into the blog’s title because it reminds me of when my first grade teacher caught me daydreaming. My eyes were fixated out the window, wistfully ignoring the boring lesson that day. The teacher wanted to fail me. If it weren’t for my mom, that teacher might have went through with her threat. However, I never thought daydreaming was a bad thing, I still don’t. It pictures a reality I desire to experience. What makes daydreaming bad is keeping those desires trapped inside the mind. Daydreaming is supposed to be the starting point, not the be all end all. It’s like the Law of Attraction. They both need action to move dreams and positive thinking forward. Action is the engine that transforms thoughts into reality.
This blog, “Log Into My Daydream”, serves as the middle stage. It visualizes these desires and, hopefully, inspires people who visit the blog, to move into the last stage: action.
The motivation this blog serves the aspirational goals affiliate marketing can offer for people. I’m also using this blog to share my personal illustration work to motivate me to keep going. It has a style that differs from the popular artistic styles that dominate social media in recent years. I figure this blog will be a better place to highlight my creativity without getting crushed by social media algorithms that only allow probably a day or even a few hours to make a lasting impression.
Thank you for taking the time to explore this blog. I hope you will enjoy it enough to come again.
